NSW:Man to face trial over Skye's death

SYDNEY, Feb 22 AAP - A man has been ordered to stand trial for manslaughter over the
death of infant Skye Sassine during a police pursuit in Sydney.

The death of the 19-month-old girl on New Year's Eve in 2009 sparked the passage of
Skye's Law, which created a separate offence of leading police on a high-speed chase.

In Sydney's Central Local Court on Tuesday, Magistrate Julie Huber committed William
Ngati to stand trial in the NSW District Court.
